This site is created by three PayPal employees whose names are Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim in February 2005. After the site is created in 2006 Google bought it for US$1.65 billion. YouTube is now working as one of the subsidiaries of Google. Susan Wojcicki is the CEO of YouTube and it has also offered different products like YouTube Music and YouTube TV.
YouTube ranks 2nd in the Alexa ranking and runs its own Google AdSense. The revenue of the YouTube was US$15 billion in 2019. YouTube allows various features to his users like upload the videos, view, rate, sharing the content, add to playlists, report, comment on the video which are uploaded on YouTube, and also can subscribe to other users. YouTube offers different types of user-generated and corporate media videos.
The content of YouTube includes various things like music videos, video clips, live streams, TV shows clip, short documentary films, movie trailers, short original videos, educational videos, and many more. Most of the content on YouTube is uploaded by the individuals, but many other media corporations like CBS, BBC, VEVO, and Hulu also offer to share their material on YouTube as part of the YouTube partnership program.

YouTube also takes the concern of the users to show the age restriction videos and the user should at least have an age of 18 years to see the age-restricted videos.
